Terms of service
Effective date: 20 April 2024. These terms govern your use of GreenChain Eco-Receipt. By creating a project you agree to these conditions.
1. About GreenChain
GreenChain Eco-Receipt is operated by GreenChain Technologies ("we", "us", "our") from Karachi, Pakistan. We provide software that enables merchants to offer a voluntary environmental add-on at checkout and to publish public impact receipts.
2. Merchant accounts
Merchants must provide a valid email address and maintain control of API keys. You are responsible for the accuracy of the impact ledger entries you publish. You agree to use the service only for lawful commerce and to notify us immediately if a key or account is compromised.
3. Pricing & billing
Plans are billed monthly in PKR. We invoice on the first day of each billing cycle with 14-day payment terms. Failure to pay may result in suspension. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
4. Environmental claims
We do not guarantee carbon neutrality. All impact descriptions must be accurate, locally grounded, and avoid greenwashing. Proof pages clearly state that CO₂ calculations cover delivery estimates only.
5. Data
We do not store customer PII. Merchants must not send personal data through our APIs. We collect operational data such as order hashes, city information, and ledger notes to power proof pages.
6. Suspension
We may suspend or terminate access if you misuse API keys, misrepresent impact, violate applicable laws, or fail to pay invoices after repeated reminders.
7. Liability
Our service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law we disclaim warranties and limit liability to the fees paid in the preceding twelve months.
